Teen Driving Program

Teen Driver Education

For over 50 years, AAAA International Driving School has helped families throughout Southwest Ohio build safe, confident drivers. Learning to drive is an exciting milestone, and our Teen Driver Education Program is designed to guide students through Ohio’s required driver education process with supportive, professional instruction.

The program includes Ohio’s required classroom instruction and private behind-the-wheel training with a state-certified instructor.

Not sure if this is the right program? Contact our office, and we’ll help determine which Ohio driver education program your student needs.

🚗Behind-the-Wheel Training

Students may register for the behind-the-wheel portion of the program at any time. Registration places the student on our scheduling list so they can work their way up the list while completing their classroom instruction.

Whether your student is getting behind the wheel for the first time or already has some driving experience, our state-certified instructors tailor each lesson to the student’s skill level and comfort level, helping them develop safe driving habits and become confident drivers. No prior driving experience is required.

Students complete 8 hours of private, one-on-one driving instruction divided into four, 2-hour lessons. This allows instructors to gradually build each student’s skills through hands-on practice while providing individualized instruction every step of the way.

Behind-the-wheel training includes:

✔ Four private, 2-hour driving lessons

✔ One-on-one instruction with a state-certified instructor

✔ Training tailored to each student’s skill level and comfort level

✔ Practice with vehicle control, traffic awareness, and safe driving habits

✔ Lessons begin at one of our designated meeting locations throughout Southwest Ohio.

Important: Register Early for Behind-the-Wheel Training

You do not have to wait until your classroom instruction is complete to register for behind-the-wheel training. Registering early places your student on our scheduling list, allowing them to work their way up the list while completing their classroom instruction. Classroom completion is required before driving lessons can be scheduled.

⏰50 Hours of Supervised Driving

Ohio also requires students under the age of 21 to complete 50 hours of supervised driving, including 10 hours of nighttime driving, with a parent, guardian, or qualified licensed driver.

Students may begin logging these hours as soon as they receive their temporary permit. Many families choose to complete these practice hours while the student is enrolled in driver education and before, during, or after their behind-the-wheel lessons.

The completed 50-Hour Affidavit must be submitted to the Ohio BMV at the time of the scheduled road test. Parents and students may track these hours by completing the Ohio 50-Hour Affidavit by hand or by using the RoadReady App, which is approved by the Ohio BMV. Both options satisfy the supervised driving log requirement.
