If you are 21 or older and fail the road or maneuverability test on your first attempt, Ohio law requires you to complete the Abbreviated Adult Program before retesting.
You must complete both a 4-hour class and one of the following driving requirements:

4-Hour In-Person Class + 4 Hours of Behind-the-Wheel Training with a licensed Abbreviated Adult Instructor.

4-Hour Online Course + 4 Hours of Behind-the-Wheel Training with a licensed Abbreviated Adult Instructor.

4-Hour In-Person Class + 24 Hours of Driving with a licensed driver (age 21 or older).

4-Hour Online Course + 24 Hours of Driving with a licensed driver (age 21 or older).

Note: If you choose the 24-hour driving option, you cannot drive more than 4 hours per day and must complete the Twenty-Four Hour Affidavit (BMV 5789).
